Captain Nickolas Monroe Remarks: While en route to Port Esperanza, Barge-ship #66 was encountered, anchored amidst dense fog, precisely at coordinates 49°39’19.1″S and 43°13’33.5″W, with the time of sighting registered at approximately 1035 hours. Upon closer inspection, the vessel was found to be infested with pop-plant spores, necessitating an urgent investigation and quarantine procedure. In adherence to protocol, I issued an order for a warning shot to be fired as a cautionary measure to prevent potential evasion. Regrettably, the shot inadvertently struck the barge’s hull. In accordance with due process, our security dispatch promptly presented a duly authorized warrant for search and seizure, resulting in the discovery of 237 occupants on board upon our team’s boarding. The investigative unit conducted a thorough search operation with only one recorded incident. However, toward the conclusion of the exploration, an unforeseen situation transpired, prompting the activation of ACS Honeoye forces’ Defensive Protocol 18. Subsequent to these events, the vessel was successfully seized and secured without complications, and it is presently under tow to the James Ross Salvage Yard.
